Mpumi Tshabalala

Mpumi Tshabalala is a senior legal counsel at the Competition Commission of South Africa, specializing in competition law. They have extensive experience as a former Senior Case Manager at the Competition Tribunal of South Africa and as a law clerk at the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Mpumi completed their articles at Bowmans, one of South Africa's top law firms, and holds a Master’s in African Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London, along with an LLB and a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Cape Town. As an admitted attorney and Chevening Scholar, Mpumi is dedicated to promoting economic justice through transformative competition law and has over 10 years of experience in equality, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
