Heidi Carter

Heidi Carter, LPCC-S, LICDC, has extensive experience in counseling, with a career spanning from 1997 to the present. Starting as an Outpatient Therapist at Adena Health System, Heidi transitioned to a Counselor role at CompDrug from September 2000 to February 2019, providing individual and group counseling for mental health and substance abuse issues, utilizing Brene Brown's curriculums on shame resilience, courage, and connection. Since December 2018, Heidi has worked as a Counselor at Affirmations Psychological Services and, as of November 2024, serves as a Therapist at Carters Connections Counseling LLC. Heidi holds a Master’s Degree in Social Agency Counseling from the University of Dayton, a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Illinois State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Augustana College.
