David Peters

David Peters has extensive experience in leadership and management roles across various sectors, particularly within agricultural and fire protection services. Currently serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the Manteno Township Fire Protection District since May 2015, David is responsible for setting district policies and managing business affairs. David's agricultural expertise as a Business Partner at Reiter Farm Inc. includes overseeing production on 3,000 acres and engaging in grain marketing and budgeting since 1994. Previously, David owned Manteno Area Computer Services, providing network design and implementation for K-12 education, and held significant positions in various boards, including the Manteno Farmers Elevator and Compeer Financial, where leadership roles involved committee chairmanships and oversight responsibilities. Additionally, David served as Director for the Kankakee County Soil and Water Conservation District, providing fiscal and program oversight, and as a Director at 1st Farm Credit Services, contributing to governance and risk committees.
