Randy Thompson

Randy Thompson has extensive experience in the field of Hyperion Planning and Essbase development. Randy began their career as a Consultant Hyperion Essbase/Planning for United Space Alliance, where they designed and implemented a financial budget and planning module. Randy then worked as a Technical Consultant for Securian Financial Group, conducting technical reviews of financial reporting applications using PeopleSoft Cube Manager and Hyperion Essbase. Randy then joined ING Americas as a Consultant for Essbase/Planning before moving on to Alcoa, where they served as the Lead Hyperion Essbase developer for the SMART application. After that, they worked for Carlson Companies as the Lead Hyperion Planning developer for worldwide restaurant divisions and was responsible for creating the Carlson Hyperion Center of Excellence team. Randy continued their career as an Independent Hyperion Planning Consultant for Boston Scientific, where they were the Lead Hyperion Planning developer for the company's Financial Consolidation, Planning, and Reporting systems. Randy then became a Hyperion Planning Consultant for CAE, where they served as the Lead Hyperion Planning system architect for the company's worldwide budgeting and forecasting system. Most recently, they worked for Veritiv, where they designed, developed, and implemented a Hyperion Planning Income Statement budgeting application and provided ongoing support and system enhancements. Currently, Randy is a OneStream / Hyperion Planning / Essbase Developer for CompIntelligence. Inc.

Randy Thompson attended Concordia University from 1977 to 1980. Following that, they enrolled at McGill University from 1980 to 1984, although specific degree names and fields of study were not provided. In terms of additional certifications, Randy obtained the "OneStream Architecture: Designing an Application" certification from OneStream Software in December 2021, and the "OneStream Certified Professional (OCP) - Lead Architect R1" certification from CompIntelligence, Inc. in December 2021. Randy also obtained the "OneStream Certified Associate Administration" certification from OneStream Software in October 2022.
