Brendan Frederick

Brendan Frederick is an accomplished digital media executive and music writer currently serving as EVP, Content at Complex NTWRK. They began their career as an intern at Mass Appeal, eventually rising to Editor-in-Chief, where they significantly influenced the magazine's urban lifestyle narrative. Brendan further honed their editorial skills as Senior Editor at XXL Magazine and later as Vice President of Content Operations at Complex Networks, where they directed major original series. They transformed GENIUS from a music lyrics startup into a leading media company, building a substantial content team and establishing popular video series. Brendan holds a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
