John Fischer

John Fischer is an experienced Senior Platform Engineer at Compliance and Risks, responsible for maintaining Continuous Integration infrastructure and deploying web applications since April 2017. Prior to this role, John served as a Principal Software Engineer at Oracle from January 2010 to September 2016, where updates to deployment technology for the Oracle Solaris Operating System were designed and implemented. John's career began at Sun Microsystems, where from February 1987 to January 2010, John held various positions including Staff Engineer and led the Solaris Desktop development team. Earlier experience includes engineering roles at CompuChem, where an original graphical library was created for government use. John Fischer holds a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from California State University - East Bay and an AA in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Chabot College.
