Troy Smith is a seasoned software engineer with a robust career spanning over three decades in the financial and technology sectors. Currently employed at Compliance Systems, Inc. since February 2014, Troy has honed expertise in software engineering and system solutions. Prior to this, a significant tenure at Independent Bank from 1995 to February 2014 included roles as Vice President of Retail Information Technology and Secondary Marketing, where responsibilities encompassed managing teams, overseeing mortgage software development, and implementing cost-effective technology solutions. Early career experience includes managing investor accounting functions at First of America Mortgage Company. Troy holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Western Michigan University and has completed coursework towards a Master's of Divinity at Western Theological Seminary.
