Tom Cornelius

Tom Cornelius is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in governance, risk, compliance, and information security. Currently, Tom serves as a Senior Partner at ComplianceForge and has co-founded the Secure Code Alliance, where Tom developed the Developing Security & Privacy by Design initiative. As the Founder of the Secure Controls Framework, Tom advocates for collaborative information sharing to enhance cybersecurity practices. Tom's previous roles include Associate Director of Corporate Security at Cognizant, Manager of Governance Risk & Compliance at Nike, and Senior IT Security Engineer at Portland General Electric, among others. Tom holds a BS in Human & Regional Geography from the United States Military Academy at West Point, along with an MBA and MS in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
