Tom Crompton has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Tom started their career at The Dow Chemical Company as a Senior Production Engineer, where they were responsible for reactor plant optimization, PLC programming, and process troubleshooting. During this time, they achieved significant results such as reducing hazardous waste production by 900,000 lbs. annually.

After their tenure at The Dow Chemical Company, Tom joined HB Fuller as a Sales and Operations Manager. Here, they played a key role in integrating toll production from a competitor, increasing production utilization by 35% in less than 6 months. Tom also led a project to evaluate the redesign of the powder coatings business, resulting in its successful sale to Valspar Corporation.

In 2008, Tom joined Hearing Components as a Sr. Director of Operations and later became the Vice President of Operations and Technology. During their time at the company, Tom increased production capacity by 80% in 2016 and modified purchasing and inventory management processes in response to supply chain constraints in 2021, ensuring no product outages. Tom also played a critical role in increasing e-commerce capacity by 100% during the Covid pandemic.

Throughout their career, Tom has demonstrated their ability to improve efficiency, drive productivity, and successfully manage complex projects.

Tom Crompton attended South Dakota Mines from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
