Ben Embree

Ben Embree has extensive work experience in software development and leadership roles. Ben is currently the Director of Software Engineering at Component Control - a CAMP Company since July 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Lytx, Inc. from 2011 to 2020, where they held various positions including Senior Director of Software Development and Senior Software Engineer. At Lytx, they were responsible for developing key products, such as fleet management and compliance services.

Before joining Lytx, Ben worked at Aldera (formerly Healthation LLC) as the Manager of Software Development from 2005 to 2010. During their tenure, they managed the development effort for the Abovehealth web portal product, which covered areas such as medical referrals, enrollment, and claims processing. Ben achieved several accomplishments, including data tier migration, integration with Healthation claims processing product, and management of offshore teams.

Prior to Aldera, Ben worked at Verilet (formerly MedData) from 2000 to 2005. Ben held roles as Manager of Software Development and Software Architect. Their responsibilities included leading the merger with Abovehealth, introducing a new web tech stack, migrating legacy code, and merging products into a common platform suite.

Ben's earlier experience includes working at MedImpact Healthcare Systems, Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Ben served as the Director of Software Development, overseeing projects such as MedDirect and MedReferral, which were web-based electronic prescription and healthcare referral products respectively. Ben demonstrated expertise in leadership across teams and full life cycle development.
