Tapio Rantala

Tapio Rantala has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Tapio started their career in 1980 as a research engineer at VTT, where they worked for 5 years. Tapio then moved on to Tampella in 1985, where they served as a Quality Manager and Metallurgist until 1988. Following this, they joined Metso and held the position of Foundry Director for approximately 20 years. In 2008, Rantala joined Componenta as the VP of Foundry Technology Development. In 2011, they briefly served as the Foundry Manager at Componenta Finland Oy Pietarsaari. Throughout their career, Rantala has gained a wealth of expertise in foundry technology and metal production.

Tapio Rantala's education history begins in 1973 when they started studying at Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan. Tapio pursued a field of study in Metallurgy and completed their studies in 1978. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Licentiate degree in Foundry technology from 1978 to 1981.
