Adam Butler

Lead Developer at Compono

Adam Butler has a diverse work experience in software development, primarily as a lead developer and software engineer. Adam started their career as an Analyst/Programmer at e-com Business Solutions in 2000. From 2001 to 2003, they worked as a Software Developer at Morris International, where they developed software solutions in C++, Visual Basic, and Oracle PL/SQL. Adam then joined Dixon Homes as a Software Developer from 2003 to 2006, where they focused on developing software solutions for the drafting department.

In 2007, they joined Tessella as a Senior Analyst/Programmer, where they worked on software development with Java and C#, developed user interfaces for web-based applications, and utilized automated testing tools. Adam took on the responsibility of maintaining large systems as the first member of the continuity and improvement team.

In 2011, they joined Ausenco Rylson as a Software Engineer, contributing to the development of the asset management product Rylson8, which is a .NET application with a SQL Server database. In 2015, Adam became a Lead Developer at Ausenco, leading the transition of the Rylson8 software to a cloud application using Node.js with Angular and TypeScript. Adam built the initial prototype and deployed it to Azure functions.

Adam's most recent work experience is as a Lead Developer at Compono since 2021. Adam'sresponsibilities include devising project development plans, solving complex coding problems, and leading technical decisions. Adam collaborates with engineers, project owners, designers, operations, and testers to align and guide them towards successful project outcomes.

Adam Butler attended QUT (Queensland University of Technology) from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a degree in IT. Adam'sfield of study focused on Software Engineering and Data Communications.
