Maria Sjögren

Maria Sjögren has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Maria worked as a Client Director and an Account Manager at Comprend from 2015 to the present. Maria co-founded PhD Career Stories in 2016 and held the role of Co-Founder until 2019. Additionally, they served as a Board Member at Geek Girl Meetup from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, Maria worked at Karolinska Institutet in various roles, including Search Editor and Digital Communications Officer, Board Member of Framtidsrådet, Research Grants Officer, Web Editor (temporary position), and Alumni Relations Officer (temporary position). Maria also worked at Karolinska Institutet as a PhD student from 2002 to 2008, where they gained knowledge in developmental biology and endocrinology, while developing skills in reviewing, evaluating, and communicating scientific data, as well as leading projects and coordinating collaborations.

Maria Sjögren completed their education at the Karolinska Institutet from 2002 to 2008, where they obtained a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology. Prior to that, they attended Stockholm University from 1998 to 2002 and earned a Fil mag degree in Molecular Biology. In terms of additional certifications, Maria obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance in October 2018, and another Certified Scrum Product Owner® certification from the same institution in October 2016.
