Daniel Carter

Daniel Carter is a seasoned professional in cyber security and IT management with extensive experience in both academic and operational roles. Currently serving as a Cyber Security Project Manager at The Johns Hopkins University, Daniel oversees projects related to NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance while also holding a position as Adjunct Faculty at Southern New Hampshire University, teaching various IT and Cyber Security courses. Daniel's expertise is further demonstrated through work as a Subject Matter Expert for CompTIA and previous roles, including Systems Security Officer at DXC Technology and Information Systems Security Officer at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Daniel holds a Doctor of Business Administration from Franklin University, a Master’s in Technology Management with a focus on Homeland Security Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland.
