Roy Gertig

Roy Gertig is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and IT infrastructure. Currently serving as an advisory member on the CompTIA Advisory Infrastructure Committee since June 2018, Roy provides guidance on enhancing the relevance and expansion of CompTIA certifications. Roy has been an active member of (ISC)² since 2001, contributing as an exam writer and validator for SSCP and CISSP certifications. Previous roles include Principal Cloud Computing Engineer at SAIC from 1999 to 2020, where contributions included overseeing the IT infrastructure for military command operations and working in various engineering and cybersecurity capacities. Educational qualifications include an M.S. in Information Technology from Capella University and multiple associate and bachelor's degrees in technology-related fields. Roy holds several industry certifications, including CISA, CISM, and CISSP.
