Seth Robinson

Seth Robinson has had a diverse work experience, with roles in both CompTIA and IBM. At CompTIA, they started as the Senior Director of Technology Analysis in 2011, where they focused on researching and analyzing technology trends in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence. Seth published and presented research for IT professionals and technology companies. In 2022, they advanced to the position of Vice President, Industry Research.

Prior to joining CompTIA, Seth worked at IBM, where they held the role of Engineering Manager from 2005 to 2011. In this position, they provided personnel and project management for a team of 16 hardware engineers, overseeing the development of custom processors for gaming consoles and internal projects. Before that, they were an ASIC/Processor Engineer at IBM from 2000 to 2005, working directly with customers to build custom ASIC hardware and performing tasks such as verification, logic design, and static timing analysis.

Seth Robinson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1995 to 2000.
