Penny Egan CBE is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors at Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, a role they began in January 2020. They recently retired from their position as Executive Director of the US-UK Fulbright Commission, where they served from 2007 to 2019. Previously, Penny was the first woman to head the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce) from 1998 to 2006 and held various roles at the Crafts Council and the V&A Museum. They also served as a press officer at 10 Downing Street earlier in their career. Penny holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Leicester, earned in 1972.
