Sergio Polanco

Sergio Polanco currently serves as the State Public Engagement Officer for New American and Immigrant Communities at the Comptroller of Maryland, starting January 2024. Previously, Sergio held multiple positions within Anne Arundel County, including Multicultural Affairs Officer and Hispanic Affairs and Translation Coordinator. Sergio brings extensive experience in event logistics as the Event Logistics Chair and Bilingual MC for the Multicultural Entertainment Group. Additionally, Sergio has a background as CEO Executive Producer of the RITMO LATINO SHOW and worked as a bilingual translator/interpreter and editor for various organizations. Educational qualifications include a GED in Communication and Media Studies from Gettysburg College and studies at Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala.
