Marissa Iles

Marissa Iles has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Marissa currently holds the role of Registration Project Manager at CompuSystems, where they began working in January 2022. Prior to this, Marissa was the Event/Wedding Manager at Magnificent M.Iles Events, LLC starting in June 2015.

From August 2019 to January 2022, Marissa served as the Director of Conference and Event Services at Elmhurst University. In this role, they managed a team, organized special events for the university, and handled logistics and vendor management.

Marissa also worked at College of DuPage as an Event Supervisor part-time from April 2016 to June 2020. Marissa gained further event management experience as an Event Services Manager at CompuSystems from August 2016 to June 2018. In addition, they worked as a Project Manager at Experient - a Maritz Global Events Company from July 2018 to August 2019.

Before transitioning into the event management field, Marissa worked in student finance roles. Marissa was a Student Finance Manager at Colorado Technical University Online from November 2010 to July 2016. Prior to that, they held multiple positions at DeVry University Online, including Student Finance Team Lead from July 2008 to October 2010 and Student Finance Planner from September 2007 to June 2008.

Marissa began their career in the education industry, holding various roles at Eastern Illinois University. Marissa was an EIU Graduate Assistantship - Financial Health Coordinator from May 2006 to May 2007 and an EIU Internship - Assistant Financial Health Coordinator from January 2006 to April 2006.

Marissa Iles has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Eastern Illinois University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Marissa then pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field from Eastern Illinois University, which they completed from 2006 to 2007. In 2013, Marissa attended the College of DuPage, where they earned a Certificate in Event Management & Design. In 2015, they completed a Wedding Planning Course Certificate from Courses for Success.
