Ron Stier

Ron Stier has over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Ron began their career in 1994 as a Senior Network Systems Engineer at Vanstar, where they were responsible for providing engineering support to customers in the New England region. In 1999, they moved to Teloquent Communications as a Network Manager, where they were responsible for supporting, expanding, and upgrading the IP network. In 2000, they joined GTE Internetworking/Genuity as a Project Lead. In 2003, they transitioned to Progress Software as Director of Enterprise Architecture/Sr. IT Manager, Network and Security Services, where they led a globally dispersed team of engineers in the areas of networking, voice, security and IT infrastructure application architecture. In 2016, they moved to LogixHealth as Sr. Director - IT Infrastructure, where they managed and guided the global IT Infrastructure team at a mid-size healthcare services provider. In 2020, they joined StratusPointIT as Director Of Engineering.

Ron Stier attended Wentworth Institute where they studied Electronic Engineering and Avionics. Ron also has several certifications, including MCPS: Microsoft Certified Professional (obtained in March 1996), A+ (CompTIA), ASE (HP), Certified CA Unicenter Engineer - CUE (Computer Associates), General Radiotelephone (Federal Communications Commission), and MCSE (Microsoft).
