Joan Palacios

Joan Palacios is an experienced project manager and office manager currently working at Computing for Humanity since January 2023. With extensive experience at Servicio de Rentas Internas from June 2007 to December 2022, Joan held various roles, including Specialist in the Tax Intelligence Department, where responsibilities included analyzing financial statements for suspicious activity and coordinating multidisciplinary teams for the implementation of a Tax Intelligence System. Previous roles also encompassed providing consultancy at The World Bank, financial journalism at Diario EL COMERCIO, and quality assurance in manufacturing. Joan has academic qualifications from multiple institutions, including a Master's degree in Management of Small and Medium Enterprises and a Bachelor of Arts in Economy from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.
