Richard Akerman

Richard Akerman is an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer at Westcon-Comstor since 2011, specializing in providing technical support for Palo Alto and Trend Micro products, as well as solution design and implementation planning. Prior to this role, Richard served as a Senior IT Security Engineer, assisting the internal sales team with product training and addressing pre-sales technical inquiries, while managing customer endpoint security and firewall solutions. From 2003 to 2011, Richard worked as an IT Security Engineer at Biodata IT South Africa, contributing to the distribution of IT security products in the Sub-Saharan region before the company was acquired by Westcon, leading to the formation of their current IT Security practice.
