Ed Firth has a significant amount of experience in various roles within the government and technology industry. Ed started their career at GTE Government Systems in 1987 as a Director of Capture, where they remained until 1996. Ed then joined Orkand as the VP of Corporate Development from April 1996 to December 1999. Following Orkand, Ed worked at UNITECH as the VP of BD from 2000 to 2003. Ed then moved to BAE Systems (formerly DigitalNet Government Solutions) as the Director of Capture from 2003 to 2007. Currently, they are employed at Comtech LLC as the VP of Strategy, where they are responsible for managing the Document Content Management Task for the FAA and overseeing corporate CMMI application development projects and corporate strategy.
Ed Firth obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computers and Electronics from George Mason University, where they studied from 1983 to 1989. In addition to their formal education, they have also earned several certifications. In December 2012, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. More recently, in November 2021, they completed the SharePoint 2019 Essential Training: The Basics course offered by LinkedIn.
