Alvaro Siman

Alvaro Siman is a seasoned professional with a focus on product management and chemical engineering. Currently serving as Head of Product at Comun since April 2022, Alvaro was part of the founding team. Previously, Alvaro held the title of Product Manager at Applied Materials from June 2019 to May 2022, overseeing internal software development. Alvaro's experience includes a role in Advanced Technology within Applied Materials' Business Development group and contributions as an Undergraduate Researcher at the Jaramillo Research Group at Stanford. Alvaro also worked as a Chemical Engineer at Total, conducting techno-economic assessments on CO2 electrochemical conversion, and as a Business Analyst at Enix, supporting American petroleum clients in navigating the Mexican energy sector. Alvaro's career began as a Process Engineer at Inmobiliaria Apopa, optimizing fabric dyeing processes, and Alvaro holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University.
