Robert is a Managing Partner and is a co-founder of Comvest Credit Partners. Robert serves as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee and the investment committees for Comvest’s direct lending strategy funds as well as Comvest Strategic Growth Fund. Robert is currently Chairman and CEO of Commonwealth Credit Partners BDC I, Inc., a private business development company that launched in 2021 focusing on investments in directly originated middle market loans, as well as its adviser, Commonwealth Credit Advisors LLC.
Robert joined Comvest in 2002 having been actively involved in financing and investing in lower middle market companies since 1992 when he joined Comvest’s predecessor firm, Commonwealth Associates. Commonwealth was a leading merchant and investment bank with a lower middle market focus which invested and arranged over $1 billion of equity to finance operations, acquisitions and/or restructuring of more than 100 technology, healthcare and service-related businesses. Robert’s areas of investment experience include business services, technology, media, and healthcare services.
Robert received a B.A. in Geography from London University while attending King’s College and the London School of Economics.
