Matteo Capelli

Matteo Capelli has a strong background in finance and auditing, with experience working in various roles in both Italy and the UK. Matteo currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Conad, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at Margherita Distribuzione SpA (formerly Auchan SpA) from July 2019 to December 2020. From June 2016 to July 2019, they served as the Head of Finance at Auchan Retail Italy. Before transitioning to the retail industry, Matteo worked as the Finance Director for Italy at Azimut from September 2015 to June 2016. Matteo'searlier experience includes roles at PwC Italy and PwC UK, where they gained extensive experience in financial services auditing. Matteo started their career as a Bank Teller at Banca Popolare di Sondrio in April 2004. Matteo Capelli attended Liceo Scientifico Statale "Giovanni Gandini" in Lodi, Italy from 1992 to 1997, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Matteo then pursued further education at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy from 1999 to 2004. During this time, they completed a Degree in Business Economics and Law with a focus on Economia e Legislazione per impresa.
