Gareth Smith, Ph.D., is an experienced technical leader, educator, and coach with over 20 years in the field of sports. Currently, Gareth serves as the Founder of Optimal Performance Consulting LLC and holds roles as a Coach Educator for CONCACAF and FIFA. Previously, Gareth coached at Drake University and was the Executive Director of West Des Moines Soccer Club. With a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and research focused on sport psychology, Gareth is dedicated to enhancing player and coach development through evidence-based methodologies.
