Karsten Capion is a Senior Analyst at CONCITO, with extensive experience in analyzing Danish and European energy systems and energy policy. Previous roles include Chief Analyst at the Danish Council on Climate Change and Chefanalytiker at Klimarådet. Karsten has also served as a Senior Advisor and Analyst at Dansk Energi, focusing on energy policy and system analysis. As the founder of Great Relief, Karsten designed public sanitary solutions and worked as a Consultant at Rambøll, conducting feasibility studies and developing strategic energy plans. Karsten began the professional journey as a Student Worker at Dansk Energi. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. Eng. in Energy from the Technical University of Denmark and a brief study at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
