Matthew Griffiths has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Matthew co-founded ConcR in 2018 and served as a co-founder. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2019, they were a PhD student at the University of Cambridge. In 2018, they founded Deep Science Ventures. Earlier in their career, they worked as an intern at Innovia Technology in 2012, and as a summer student at Cavendish Laboratories in 2011. Matthew also gained experience as a technical intern at Granta Design in 2010.

Matthew Griffiths began their education at Eton College, where they attended from 2004 to 2009. After completing their time at Eton College, they went on to study at the University of Cambridge. At the University of Cambridge, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Physics, which they completed from 2009 to 2012. Following their undergraduate studies, Matthew pursued a Master of Science (MSci) degree in Physics at the University of Cambridge, which they completed in 2013. Finally, Matthew continued their education at the University of Cambridge and earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in NanoDTC (Nano Doctoral Training Centre), which they completed in 2018.
