Senior Director Deputy Head Of Software Engineering at Conductiv

Beth Rutter has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Beth currently holds the position of Staff Software Engineer and Team Lead at Conductiv since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Conductiv from February 2022 to January 2023.

Before joining Conductiv, Beth worked at RiskLens for several years. Beth began their journey as a Risk Analyst and Researcher Intern at Global Business Analysis in 2015. Beth then moved on to Eastern Washington University and served as a Computer Literacy Graduate Instructor from August 2016 to June 2017.

During their time at RiskLens, Beth held various roles, starting as a Software Engineer Intern, where they developed JavaScript unit tests and refactored outdated JavaScript files. Beth then progressed to the role of Software Engineer (I), developing a single-page application using .Net Core, React, and Redux. As a Software Engineer (II), they created a GEN 3 application and collaborated with the data science team to add a new formula to the system's calculation engine. Finally, Beth served as a Software Engineer (III), overseeing front-end code reviews and training junior developers.

Throughout their career, Beth demonstrated their ability to architect scalable features, integrate software solutions, apply domain-driven design principles, and deliver clean and maintainable code. Beth also contributed to improving software performance, training and mentoring other developers, and contributing to risk analysis and research activities.

Beth Rutter completed their Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Psychology and minors in Math and Computer Science from the University of Puget Sound in the years 2011 to 2015. Beth then pursued further education at Eastern Washington University from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science. Additionally, in 2016, Beth briefly attended Eastern Washington University for Post-Baccalaureate Studies in Computer Science.
