Cora Walter

Cora Walter, MBA, serves as a Department Manager at Con Edison since June 2011, overseeing the safe and reliable operation of the electric distribution system. Walter previously held roles including Project Manager for E-Mobility, successfully launching an innovative commercial EV Managed Charging program in February 2024, and enhancing the interconnection process for electrification customers. As Manager of the Manhattan Field Operations Department, leadership was provided to 60 employees focused on system reliability, while at Manhattan Energy Services, a cross-functional team was directed in managing numerous new business projects. Walter also served as District Manager, coordinating 2,500 electric new business projects, and began the career as a Management Associate with a series of rotational assignments. Earlier experience includes an Engineering Intern role at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where design work significantly improved computing efficiency for hepatitis research. Cora Walter holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Stony Brook University.
