Shawon Rabidas

Shawon Rabidas possesses extensive experience in the engineering and utility sectors, currently serving as an Operating General Supervisor at Con Edison since April 2018, overseeing the Electric Control Center and previously leading a team in Regional Engineering. Responsibilities have included supervising engineering designers for the expansion and reinforcement of the underground network distribution grid, managing teams in Electric Operations to ensure safety and operational excellence, and reviewing specifications for electric distribution equipment as an Equipment Engineer. Prior experience includes roles at Raytheon, where management of production teams for the Patriot Missile radomes occurred, and at Praxair as part of their Leadership & Technical Orientation Development Program. Rabidas began a career in engineering with an Engineering Co-Op at Consolidated Edison and has also held teaching positions. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from New York University and an Advanced Regents Diploma with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.
