Russ Horn

Russ Horn has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 1996, they worked as an Admissions Officer at Lubbock Christian University. In 1999, they took on a Systems Analyst role at United Supermarkets and a Part-time Instructor role at Lubbock Christian University. In 2002, they became an IT Consultant for the Healthcare Industry and a Technical Analyst at United Supermarkets. In 2005, they joined CoNetrix as President, COO, and Security and Compliance Consultant. In 2007, they became President of Tandem, LLC, a business-to-business software as a service (SaaS) company. In 2011, they became President of AccountingWare, a CoNetrix company. Additionally, Russ has been a public speaker since 2001, delivering more than 100 educational conference sessions and keynote addresses. Russ has recently been awarded a Silver award by Cybersecurity Excellence Awards for Cybersecurity Educator of the Year in North America and was named a Top-Rated Speaker by ISACA for being evaluated by attendees in the top 5% at the North America CACS 2018 Conference.

Russ Horn holds a Master's Degree in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University, obtained between 1998 and 2000. Russ also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from Lubbock Christian University, obtained between 1992 and 1996. In addition, they hold three certifications: Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) from ISACA, obtained in August 2011; Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, obtained in September 2006; and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2, obtained in March 2006.
