Michael Gorham

CTO & Co-Founder at ConexED

Michael Gorham has over 20 years of work experience in the software development and technology industry. Michael is currently serving as the CTO & Co-Founder of ConexED since November 2011. In this role, they have been responsible for architecting various EdTech software platforms and collaborating with software engineers to develop and integrate code. Michael also monitors network and systems infrastructure, addresses bug reports, recruits and mentors software engineers, and stays updated with the latest tech trends through conference attendance.

Prior to their current role, Michael worked as a Consultant/Software Architect at Hylosoft, Inc. from January 2009 to August 2012. There, they specialized in automating datafeed processing through customized machine learning algorithms and system performance tuning. Michael also contributed to open-source projects such as Zend Framework, Magento E-commerce, Ubuntu Linux, and Canvas.

Before that, Michael served as a Software Development Manager/Software Architect at Invenda Corporation from April 2002 to March 2010. Michael also held the same role at eCollege from March 1998 to October 2001. In both positions, they played a key role in building and managing development teams and was involved in various aspects of online learning platforms.

Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Software Developer at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) from June 1996 to November 1997. Michael developed a hotel reservation booking application and refactored a portion of the main hotel reservation and communications application.

Michael's first professional experience was as a Software Developer at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York from January 1995 to June 1996. There, they developed the first mobile patient health data chart application using Visual Basic and C++, which allowed nurses to record vitals electronically while visiting patients.

Michael Gorham began their education in 1991 at Foothill College, where they studied Computer Science until 1992. In the same year, they also attended Stanford University for Continuing Studies/Professional Development and took a course called "An Introduction to Computer Science." Michael then transferred to the University of Oregon in 1992 and continued their studies in Computer Science until 1994. However, there is no information available regarding any degrees obtained by Michael Gorham during this timeframe.
