Andy Kimball

Andy Kimball has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Andy began their career as a Student Software Developer at DERA from 2000 to 2004. Andy then worked as a Software Developer at QinetiQ from 2004 to 2008, where they were involved in the development of various satellite communication, lidar, and mobile phone products and systems. During this time, they also took on a lead role in transitioning their team to Agile development methodology.

In 2008, Andy joined Malvern Instruments as a Senior Software Engineer. Andy was part of the development teams for two product lines and took on additional responsibilities as a ScrumMaster and Agile coach. Andy introduced engineering practices across analysis, design, and quality assurance and control.

Andy joined Configit in 2012 and held various roles within the company. Andy started as a Senior Software Developer and ScrumMaster, overseeing the development of Configit's enterprise-level web application. In 2014, they became a Product Owner and Solution Architect, working closely with customer stakeholders to shape the system architecture and application functionality.

In 2015, Andy was promoted to UK Consulting Manager at Configit. In this role, they managed the UK consulting department and successfully delivered large-scale projects for international customers. Andy built and managed a cross-functional team and reported to the C-level executives.

Currently, Andy is the Director of Professional Services at Configit, a position they have held since September 2022. In this role, they oversee the professional services department and is responsible for delivering high-value solutions to Configit's customers.

Andy Kimball attended the University of Leeds from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Operational Research. Andy then pursued further education at the University of Bath from 2004 to 2008, obtaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Management. In addition to their formal education, Andy Kimball has also completed several certifications. Andy is certified in Kanban Systems Design [KMP1] from Kanban University, holds a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance, and has completed a leadership program from Heidrick & Struggles.
