Daniel Joseph Barry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In 1995, they started their career as a System Designer at Ericsson, where they worked on Access Network Management Systems. Daniel Joseph later became a Business Manager, responsible for commercializing access network management products and solutions. During this time, they supported worldwide sales offices and played a key role in product strategy and go-to-market planning.

In 1999, Barry transitioned to the role of Product Manager and Manager of Product Management at Ericsson, focusing on ATM network management. Daniel Joseph worked closely with global sales offices, assisting with bids and providing technical support. Daniel Joseph collaborated with major carriers such as NTT DoCoMo, AT&T, and France Telecom.

In 2001, they joined IONAS as a Key Account Manager before being promoted to Sales Director. At IONAS, Barry established a worldwide sales function for Silica-on-Silicon photonic component manufacturing services, overseeing sales growth and managing a team.

Barry then joined NKT Integration in 2003 as Director of Business Development. Daniel Joseph played an instrumental role in identifying new customers, expanding into new geographic regions, and transforming the company into a provider of own-brand photonic components.

From 2005 to 2015, Barry worked at TPACK, first as a Sales and Marketing Manager and then as Director of Marketing. Daniel Joseph was responsible for establishing a marketing function, positioning TPACK as a leader in connection-oriented Ethernet technologies, and managing strategic partnerships.

At Napatech, Barry held various roles from 2009 to 2020. Daniel Joseph started as the VP of Marketing, leading worldwide marketing efforts and positioning Napatech as a strategic partner to key customers. Daniel Joseph later became the VP of Positioning and Chief Evangelist, focusing on market trends analysis and driving new growth initiatives. Daniel Joseph'srole also involved clear communication of Napatech's value through trade publications, speaking engagements, and press relations. Finally, they served as the VP of Strategy and Market Development, identifying growth opportunities and positioning Napatech in the market.

Barry's entrepreneurial ventures include co-founding and serving as CEO of DigiFyy. Daniel Joseph also owned 3C Tech Content, offering assistance with communication and marketing strategies for technical companies.

Currently, Barry holds the position of Vice President of Product Marketing at Configit, a role they assumed in 2023.

Daniel Joseph Barry has a strong education background in both general management and electrical/electronic engineering. In 1993, they graduated with a BSc Engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin, specializing in electrical/electronic engineering. Additionally, during the same period, they obtained a HDip EE (Higher Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering) from Technological University Dublin. Later, in 1999, they earned an MBA degree in General Management from Trinity College Dublin as well. In 2018, they completed an online course on behalf of Brightline Initiative through Coursera, focusing on bridging the gap between strategy design and delivery.
