Jory Wheeler

SVP Engineering at Confluence Technologies

Jory Wheeler has a strong background in engineering and development, with extensive experience in the financial services industry. Jory currently holds the position of SVP Engineering at Confluence, starting in February 2019. Prior to that, Jory spent a significant amount of their career at FIS, where they held various leadership roles. As VP of Product Engineering from August 2010 to August 2018, Jory was responsible for the successful delivery of software development projects for multiple financial services products. Jory managed a global team of up to 80 resources and focused on improving product quality, performance, and security, while increasing team productivity. From August 2006 to August 2010, as VP of Development, Jory oversaw the development and on-time delivery of software projects for four financial services products. Jory built and managed a team of over 50 resources and implemented professional growth plans to ensure stable development teams. Prior to that, Jory served as Development Manager from August 2004 to August 2006, where they led a successful project enabling clients to interface with a legacy mainframe-based trading solution. Jory handled resource hiring, project management, and led the development team in designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the solution. Jory's career began at Software Architects, where they worked as a Managing Consultant from 1984 to 2004.

Jory Wheeler holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, they have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Music from the same institution. In terms of certifications, Jory obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in February 2019. Jory also holds the Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance, as well as the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice, both obtained in November 2018. Furthermore, Jory obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification – Level II from the Lean Six Sigma Masters Program in November 2018.
