Miles Buckton has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Miles started their career as a Sound Engineer at Foghound Studios in 1998. After that, they pursued their education and attended the University of Johannesburg from 2003 to 2006. During this time, they worked as a Student.
In 2007, Miles joined Data Solve as a Junior Magic Developer and continued in the same role until June 2008. Miles then enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, where they pursued a BTech in Engineering: Computer Systems from 2007 to 2010.
After completing their studies, they rejoined Data Solve as a Magic Developer from December 2011 to February 2014. Miles then worked at Discovery Limited as a Junior Magic Developer from July 2008 to November 2011.
In 2014, Miles worked as an Application Developer at MIP from March to October, and then joined Achievement Awards Group as an Analyst Developer from November 2014 to September 2015. Miles subsequently moved to Genasys Technologies (Pty) Ltd, where they held two roles: Software Developer from October 2015 to August 2018, and Automation Developer from September 2018 to April 2019.
Miles currently works at Confluence, where they began as a Developer, Cloud Reporting from May 2019 to December 2021 before transitioning to their current role as a Software Engineer from January 2022 onwards.
Miles Buckton began their education in 2003 at UOJ, where they pursued a NDip degree in Engineering: Computer Systems. Miles successfully completed this program in 2006. Subsequently, they enrolled at UNISA in 2007 to further their education in the field. Miles is currently on track to complete their BTech degree in Engineering: Computer Systems at UNISA in 2024.
