Bill Yang

Bill Yang is a Staff Software Engineer at Confluent, where since September 2021, Bill has contributed as one of the initial members to develop the next-generation Secure Compute Platform, enhancing business opportunities across Confluent Cloud. Prior to this role, Bill spent nearly a decade at Microsoft as a Senior Software Engineer in the Azure OneDeploy team, focusing on large-scale deployment infrastructure for various Microsoft products. Bill's expertise includes optimizing service level objectives, capacity autoscaling, and data security. Academically, Bill holds a Master of Applied Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from McMaster University and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Wuhan University.
