Engin Cukuroglu

Engin Cukuroglu, PhD, serves as the Senior Manager for Solutions Engineering at Confluent, overseeing operations across the ASEAN region, Korea, India, and Greater China since January 2021. Responsibilities include managing teams, providing strategic thought leadership, and enhancing customer engagement methodologies, which have improved technical win times and customer loyalty. Prior to Confluent, Engin held the position of Lead Data Scientist at Hitachi Vantara, delivering data science solutions across various industries in the APAC region and successfully driving presales business development. Engin's earlier experience includes significant roles as a Data Scientist at the Genome Institute of Singapore, a Research and Teaching Assistant at Koc University, and as a Visiting Researcher at both the University of Copenhagen and the National Institute of Health. Engin earned a PhD, MSc, and BSc in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology from Koc University.
