Gilles Philippart

Gilles Philippart is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in software architecture and leadership roles. Currently serving as Software Practice Lead at Confluent since October 2022, Gilles previously held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Funding Circle UK from January 2018 to October 2022, where notable achievements include leading the development of a fully automated loan platform for small and medium businesses. Prior experience at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking included designing a 40+ microservices platform for Trade Finance and leading a bank-wide Agile adoption program. Gilles's career began as a Software Engineer at BNP Paribas Asset Management and Societe Generale, establishing a strong foundation in software development and engineering principles.
