Mason Smith

Mason Smith serves as Associate General Counsel at Confluent, overseeing legal matters related to the public sector business, including compliance and transactions with government entities since July 2022. Prior to this role, Mason held the position of Senior Corporate Counsel at Amazon, where responsibilities included managing legal aspects for the public sector division's extensive network of technology partners. Mason's earlier experience includes working as an Associate at McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP, focusing on government contracts litigation, and internships at the U.S. District Court and the Colorado Attorney General's Office. Mason holds a Juris Doctor with honors from The George Washington University Law School and dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Economics, both summa cum laude, from the University of Northern Colorado.
