Rey Perez is currently the Chief Customer Officer at Confluent. Prior to this, Rey held various leadership positions at New Relic, Inc., Oracle Corporation, and Crescent Enterprise Solutions. Rey has over 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture and business applications.

Rey Perez began their career in 2005 as a Practice Manager for Business Applications at Sun Microsystems. In 2009, they transitioned to Crescent Enterprise Solutions as their Practice Director for Business Applications. One year later, Rey joined Oracle Corporation as their Enterprise Architecture Senior Director. While at Oracle, Rey led a team of architects in building Oracle Application solutions on Oracle Hardware for Fortune 500 corporations. Rey also drove the Engineered Systems Solutions at Oracle Corporation. Rey left Oracle in 2016 to join New Relic, Inc. as their GVP Enterprise Solutions Engineering. In 2018, they were promoted to SVP, Americas Solutions Engineering and then to Chief Customer Officer in 2021.

Rey Perez completed a BS in Electrical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

They work with Gunjan Aggarwal - Chief People Officer, Stephanie Buscemi - Chief Marketing Officer, and Christina Liu - Chief Accounting Officer. Rey Perez reports to Jay Kreps, Co-founder & CEO.
