Roger Hoover is a highly experienced engineering leader with a diverse background in software architecture and engineering management. Since April 2016, Roger has served as a Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager at Confluent, focusing on developing Confluent Cloud for public cloud services. Prior to this, Roger held the position of Chief Architect at Quantiply Corporation, designing large-scale real-time decision management applications. Roger also worked as Principal Software Architect at Palo Alto Research Center, where responsibilities included product definition and protocol design. Earlier roles included Director of Engineering and Principal Software Engineer at Mozes, Inc., and Principal Software Engineer/Architect at E*Trade Financial, where significant contributions included automation tools and intelligent service routing projects.
