Ryan Murray

Ryan Murray is a technology innovator and entrepreneur focused on data engineering, software development, and open-source innovation. They are currently a Principal Engineer at Confluent and also serve as a committer for Apache Iceberg at The Apache Software Foundation. Ryan co-founded Sundeck, where they developed a transformative SaaS product and led the rollout of a reinforcement learning model, achieving initial customer success. Their past roles include Principal Architect at Dremio and leadership positions at UBS, where they advanced quantitative finance and data engineering initiatives. Ryan holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Waterloo, complemented by extensive experience in high-performance computing and open-source technology.
