Ryan Vary

Ryan Vary is currently a Solutions Architect at Confluent since January 2023. Vary has extensive experience with the United States Air Force, serving in various engineering roles since September 2014, including positions at the Space and Missile Systems Center Innovation & Prototyping Directorate, Rapid Reaction Branch, and Space Vehicles Directorate. Prior to this, Vary worked as a Senior Principal Engineer at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. and held software engineering positions at ChannelAdvisor and Signal Innovations Group. Vary also has experience as an MCAT Physics and Chemistry Instructor at The Princeton Review, a System Engineer at ENSCO, Inc., and a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Vary holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Chemistry from Guilford College.
