Stefan Richter

Stefan Richter is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as Director of Engineering at Confluent since April 2023. With a significant background in software development and optimization, Richter has held roles such as Principal Software Engineer II and Senior Software Engineer at companies including Snowflake and Data Artisans. As a Committer for Apache Flink at The Apache Software Foundation, Richter has contributed to the development of an open-source system for efficient data analysis. Richter began academic pursuits with a PhD in Informatik from Universität des Saarlandes and holds additional degrees in Informatik from the same university and Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft des Saarlandes Saarbrücken.
