Sunil M. currently serves as a Senior Engineering Manager for Cloud Security - Service Identity at Confluent, starting in April 2024. Previously, Sunil held the position of Senior Engineering Manager at Chronosphere, where leadership in Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Security for an Observability SaaS product resulted in a 35% reduction in product costs through infrastructure optimizations. Sunil has an extensive background in engineering management at Lyft, where management of multiple teams ensured excellence in onsite service experience, and in various roles at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focusing on API security and the development of next-generation VPN systems. Sunil has also contributed significantly to Micropact, Inc. in software development leadership, and early career experience includes a role as Programmer/Analyst at The EMMES Corporation and account management at Hutchison Max Telecom Ltd. Sunil holds a Master's of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from West Virginia University and a BEE in Instrumentation from VESIT.
