Timo Walther

Timo Walther is a Principal Software Engineer at Confluent since January 2023 and has been a Committer and PMC Member for Apache Flink at The Apache Software Foundation since November 2014. Timo co-founded Immerok in May 2022, focusing on providing cloud solutions for Apache Flink. Previously, Timo held various engineering roles at Ververica, the original creators of Apache Flink, from July 2016 to April 2022. Timo's early career includes a position as a Student Research Assistant at Technische Universität Berlin, working on the Stratosphere Research Project, and a series of internships at IBM Deutschland GmbH from 2010 to 2013, gaining experience in areas such as cloud computing, system engineering, and mobile application development. Timo holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Technische Universität Berlin and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University.
