Markus Rudolf

Professor Dr. Markus Rudolf has been a full Professor and holder of the Chair of Finance at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management since 1998, where they also head the Center of Asset and Wealth Management. They served as dean of WHU from 2015 until April 2023 and were Associate Dean for two terms prior. Markus earned a PhD and habilitation at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. Their research interests include democracy and happiness, pricing carbon contracts, and asset and risk management. Additionally, Markus is a co-founder of Brain Capital GmbH and has held supervisory board positions at Boeker & Paul AG and BlackRock Asset Management Deutschland AG.
